The hut is well located with a nice view on the volcanoes of Auvregne. Forest atmosphere, access to paths foe hiking. Open year-round.
Cabane brut: this cabin was originally the home of Matthieu, a lumberjack, who built it himself and modified it to suit his needs. It is therefore functional and comfortable. It rests on 6 trees, including two living ones, and is mainly made of douglas fir planks from Matthieu's forests. We are committed to the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park, which has awarded us the Park label. This guarantees you quality, no-frills accommodation in an exceptional environment that we strive to preserve while working on site.
Please note: the cabin is heated only by a wood-burning stove, which works very well and heats the cabin efficiently when lit. You still need to know how to make a fire... (fuel is provided).
The toilet is located outside, just outside the front door (see photos).
The cabin has a kitchen (gas hob, electric oven), a small bedroom under the roof (less than 1.50 m high, for 2 people: 2 beds 90x190) accessible by ladder, a living room/bedroom/bathroom (equipped with a 140x190 bed and a sofa bed convertible into a 140x190 bed), two terraces (one sheltered, the other not). Breathtaking view of the Chaîne des Puys from the cabin. Accessible by footpath.
