Description

A walk in search of signs of the forest's wild mammals, followed by a footprint-molding workshop.
How can we detect the presence of these discreet yet very present animals? Simplified identification keys and clues (skulls, antlers, hair, fur, epreuves, nests, meal remains, etc.) will help you in your search. Through observations and questions, learn more about the biology and ecology of these mammals. After the walk, which will also be an opportunity to discover the methods used by scientists to monitor and study mammals, get your hands dirty with clay at the footprint molding workshop. You'll then learn how to detect their presence, how and where to look for them, and how to recognize them! Difficulty: easy Distance: 2 km, altitude difference 50 m Minimum age: 7 years Guide: Groupe Mammalogique d'Auvergne Equipment required: weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Reservations must be made online (see below) no later than noon on the previous day (no later than noon on Friday for Sunday and Monday events).
