Passing on cultural heritage through school education in 1900, in a setting typical of the era, filled with the scents of paper, ink, and wood... In 2026, the museum will celebrate its 140th anniversary on July 11! Come join us for the day!

Come and discover the Jules Ferry School in an authentic 1880s school building. Eight rooms to visit, including the classroom, canteen and dormitory. Over 8,000 objects to discover or rediscover, including a large collection of antique toys. To round off the guided tour, a page of pen-and-ink writing...which will bring back memories for some, and be a first experience for others... Groups by appointment. Minimum group size for group rate: 15 Reservations: for groups only, by telephone, e-mail or via the Maison du Tourisme.
