Want to rest, tranquility, nature stay, hiking for all levels, sledding and / or snowshoeing. The mill of the footbridge offers 2 rooms with impressive views of the river and the old mills.

Grandrif is a small mid-mountain village 11 km southeast of Ambert, in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park. Here, you're free to hike in all seasons around the village and in the mountains, and to ski, snowshoe and toboggan at the Col des Pradeaux in winter. You're free to discover the nature, skills and heritage that will be revealed as your stay progresses. You're free to sample the flavors of Auvergne at local markets and restaurants. You're free to relax on the terraces and in the surrounding greenery. Feel free to try out the waterfall for an unexpected shower on a hot day. Or take a 400-year tour of the mills with Christine. Christine will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the region, and a wide range of documentation is available. Christine has been awarded the VALEUR PARCS quality label, and offers 2 rooms for 2 people with private washbasins: one room with a double bed, one with 2 beds; on the first floor of the rooms: bathroom, toilet, reading and games area. Wifi free of charge. The view plunges down to the river and waterfalls, as well as the mills and the famous footbridge. The Moulin de la Passerelle is a must-see in its own right: currently being restored, the site is in fact a collection of 5 mills (flour, oil and even pins...for lacemakers) built more or less one on top of the other, the first of which probably date back to before the 18th century. The millstones and flour mill visible today are the heirs to the other 3. An archaeology enthusiast, Christine will be delighted to comment on your visit, and share her progressive research with you.
