The Sainte-Chapelle de Vic-le-Comte, the choir of the church of Saint-Pierre, houses a splendid carved altarpiece representing the cardinal and theological virtues, as well as magnificent old stained glass windows depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament.
The choir is the former 16th-century Sainte Chapelle, whose exterior is adorned with a cornice of fantastical animals. Inside, it is topped by an Italianate tribune which, like the Renaissance altarpiece, may have been commissioned by Catherine de Médicis.
